Building Arts Foundation Tour During illinois Statewide Preservation Conference

As part of the 2011 Illinois Statewide Preservation Conference, we will be hosting a tour group. The tour begins at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 4th.

Schedule: 2:00 - 3:30 pm

Date: Saturday, June 4th

Registration Fee: $15

Transportation: On own to site; walking once on site

Dress Code: Casual with comfortable walking shoes

(Note: This tour will not be handicapped accessible.)

To attend the tour, you'll need to register for the conference. Al a carte tickets to the tour are available to one-day attendees (for that day's events only) and guests who are family members or friends accompanying a conference registrant.

Soulard Stable Hootenanny on May 22nd

We cordially invite you to a joint fundraiser with the Friends of the San Luis, the Soulard Stable Hootenanny. This event takes place in the St. Louis Building Arts Foundation's legendary Soulard warehouse. Proceeds will benefit the Friends of the San Luis' legal fund (the Friends have stood up for citizen rights under city preservation law) Foundation's effort to get its library space rehabilitated.We have great bands and a show that benefits two worthy causes. Come on down to the stable. (Word has it that the door prizes will include mid-century modern furniture!)

On Saturday, May 1, the City of St. Louis presents its first Open Streets 2010 event. From 8:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m., a route through the city including most of Lindell Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic.

The St. Louis Building Arts Foundation is pleased to join the city's effort by sponsoring an architectural walking tour showcasing the city's modern architecture.

Lindell Mid-Century Modern Walking Tour

When: 10:00 a.m. (lasts approximately 90 minutes)

Where: Meet at the statue in front of Pius XII Memorial Library, 3650 Lindell Boulevard

What: A narrated tour of Lindell's unusual array of modern architecture led by Michael Allen and Toby Weiss. From the somber International Style to New Brutalism to playful Googie, this tour has it all!

Our Soulard Warehouse is for Sale
